Reiki in Saudi Arabia

In Saudi Arabia, education and  practice of all forms of Reiki have been banned. This is because many patients preferred to abandon the doctor and his treatments, thinking that Reiki would treat or even cure them.

In February 2017, the ban covered 1,000 private training centers. The ban followed an order issued in January 2017 to end all forms of Reiki therapy in Saudi Arabia.
